DSL
(ADSL) or Digital Subscriber Line is a distance
sensitive technology. As the connection's length
increases, the signal quality decreases and
the connection speed goes down. The limit for
ADSL service is 18,000 feet (5,460 meters),
though for speed and quality of service reasons
many ADSL providers place a lower limit on the
distances for the service. At the extremes of
the distance limits, ADSL customers may see
speeds far below the promised maximums. This
technology also is faster downloading than uploading.
Because a DSLAM must be installed within the
18,000ft range of your home and tied to the
Internet, this technology is not available everywhere.
WebKraft can offer 1.5Mb download and 512 upload
with no reduction in quality over distance.
Ping times are typically 4 to 5 times faster
because we go directly back to the fiber ring
that runs the Internet. DSL does not even come
close. |

DSL (ADSL) may be attractive at
first glance. Beware of introductory offers
that has a price increase after a few months.
That $24.95 deal is not what it seems. You must
have a qualifying phone plan to get their service.
With a good credit check you get the modem for
the cost of shipping, otherwise it may be an
additional $100. The price quoted does not include
the taxes and other tariffs that the phone company
is required to charge you either. These extra
charges can increase your bill by up to %30.
Who knows what your final bill will be? WebKraft
wireless is not regulated by the government
and what you see is what you pay! We also offer
burstable accounts and give you more bandwidth
when it is available. With DSL, you never get
more than you pay for. You can have
high speed Internet service with WebKraft Wireless
and Voice over IP phone service good throughout
the US and Canada for as little as $65 per month.
Embarq can't beat that price for all those services
period. |
